Blow dry hair. Tips to perform a best blow dry hair.

The basic blow-dry technique: You will need a full radial hairbrush (one with bristles all round) and a dryer with a blow wave nozzle. The dryer needs to be in tune with what you want to achieve. 900 watts is ideal for random blow-drying, and 450 watts is better for controlled styling, that is concentrating on one section of hair at a time. Hold the dryer at least 10 cm (4 inches) from hair and angle it so that the air always flows down the length of the hair shaft, away from the scalp, to smooth down any short ends.

A sleek pageboy effect: By straightening curly/wavy hair or by lifting flat, fine hair, you can achieve a pageboy effect. Hold the brush in your left hand and dryer in the right (reverse order if you’re left-handed). Gradually work through hair, section by section, making sure that one section is completely dry before moving on to the next. Work from the crown down the back, and then do the sides, finishing with a swept-back effect. Lift hair and brush it thoroughly from root to just short of tip.

For a fuller style: You can give hair extra body by rolling it around the brush as though you are fixing a roller in place. Play the dryer on the rolled-up hair and then release it.

Lightly permed hair: When hair is lightly permed, it can be blown dry into a full curly style. Lift it, brushing under each section of hair from root to just short of tip. Work from the crown down the back of the head, then from the parting down either side.

To curb the curl: If you wish to straighten naturally curly hair, concentrate on straightening out the curl in the roots. That way, the ends will become much more manageable.
